Circulation Services

The Circulation Department staff provides the following services to the Morrisville State College Community and local residents:

• Circulation of library materials (loans, renewals, returns, holds). Patrons must present a valid Morrisville State College ID card or Community Patron card in order to borrow library materials.
• Non-electronic course reserves
• Group Study room reservations
• Audio-visual equipment assistance

Loan Periods

Loan periods for materials vary according to the types of materials, the collection which they are in, and the patron category. Due dates vary according to the time in the semester and the types of materials. Below are some general guidelines:

  • Rare Books, Archival and Special Collections
  • Microfilm
  • Course Reserves
  • Periodicals
  • Audio-visual equipment
  • Reference materials
    
    
• Library Loan Periods (Students and Community Borrowers):
  
  
  • General Collection Books - 21 days
  • Audio-Visual Materials (VHS or DVD) - 7 days with a limit of 4 items per borrower
    
    
• Library Loan Periods (Faculty and Staff):
  
  
  • General Collection Books - 180 days
  • Audio-Visual Materials (VHS or DVD) - 7 days with a limit of 4 items per borrower
  • Periodicals (Journals, Magazines, Newspapers, etc.) - Flexible loan periods determined at checkout
