Course Reserves
Faculty may place books, audio-visual media, articles, electronic documents, and other types of materials on reserve in the library. Course reserves can be either physical materials which are housed in the library at the circulation desk or electronic materials which are stored and accessed online through the ERES system.
Physical Materials for Reserve
Materials on reserve in the library are for library use only and do not circulate. These items are kept on reserve for one semester and then are returned to the library or the owner of the materials unless longer reserve arrangements are specified. Physical materials for reserve can be books, audio-visual items, printed articles/documents, text books, etc.
Electronic Reserves
Electronic reserves are materials that are in a digital format (PDF files, Word Documents, etc.) and are made available on the library's Web page through
ERes.
Access to materials reserved on ERES is restricted to faculty, staff and students enrolled in a specific course (restricted access is required due to copyright law). In consultation with instructors specific passwords will be assigned to each course. All passwords will be supplied to students enrolled in a course by their instructor.
The library staff can receive documents in electronic form such as an email attachment or hard copy documents that can be scanned into the ERES system. For more information, please contact Colleen Stella at 315-684-6055 or
