Rural Cemetery; brevet for gallantry at Port Hudson, La.

Petersburg, died Dec. 6, 1864 at US Army Hospital in Albany; brevet Colonel of
NY Volunteers.

Coeymans Oct. 1862, age 21; "died Aug. 7, 1863 at Mount Pleasant, La."

1st Lt. Michael H. Barclay, Co. K, 7th NY Heavy Artillery. Joined Aug. 1862 at
Albany as 1st Lt., age 22; MWIA June 5, 1864 at Cold Harbor; died July 6 at
Carver Hospital, Washington, DC, after right leg was amputated.

Captain Patrick Kane, Co. D, 175th NYSV. Joined at Albany Oct. 1862 as 1st
Lt., age 24; promoted to Captain Nov. 1862; WIA June 14, 1863 at Port Hudson,
La.; died of typhoid fever Sept. 6, 1863 at Baton Rouge, La.
NOTE: In 1905, the Walter O. Jones Post #371 was consolidated with #312 Kane in
Watervliet.

Sgt. Walter O. Jones, Co. M, 15th NY Cavalry. Joined as a Private, Co. B, 3d
NYSV for two years as "Walter D. Jones" at Newburgh April 1861, age 18;
discharged at Albany May 21, 1863; joined 15th NY Cavalry as Private Dec. 1863;
promoted to Sgt. Oct 1864; mustered out as supernumerary June 28, 1865 at
Cloud's Mills, Va.
- # 519 - Green Island - Jan. 15, 1889 to 1916.
Private Uri Gilbert, Co. F, 125th NYSV. Joined July 1862 at Troy, age 18;
surrendered and paroled at Harpers Ferry in 1862; captured at Petersburg June
22, 1864; NYS AGO says "no further record" but 125th's regimental history
states he was mustered out with regiment.

2d Lt. Charles Swain Evans, Co. I, 7th NY Heavy Artillery. Joined Aug. 1862 at
Rensselaerville as Private, age 22; promoted to 1st Sgt. Feb. 1864; to 2d Lt.
April 1864; MWIA June 3, 1864 at Cold Harbor; died June 5, 1864 at Division
Hospital.

Lt. Col. Timothy J. Quinn, 7th NY Cavalry. 1st Lt. in 2d NYSV May through July
1861, age 29; mustered as Lt. Col. 7th NY Cavalry at Albany Dec. 1861; mustered
out with regiment March 1862; mustered as Major of 1st NY Veteran Cavalry Jan.
1863; resigned Jan. 1865.
