Captain Luther M. Wheeler, Co. C, 77th NYSV. Joined Sept. 1861 at Saratoga as 1st Lt., age 21; promoted to Captain April 2, 1862; KIA May 3, 1863 at Salem Heights, VA.

Private Duane Shepard, Co. H, 115th NYSV. Joined at Halfmoon Aug. 1862, age 18; surrendered and paroled at Harpers Ferry; discharged July 22, 1863; a county history reports he "died in Waterford NY during summer of 1863."

Lt. Col. Franklin Norton, 123d NYSV. Joined 77th NYSV Oct. 1861 at Saratoga as captain, age 27; mustered out Aug. 1862 to be Lt. Col. of 123d NYSV; WIA at Chancellorsville May 1, 1863; died May 12, 1863 in Washington, DC.
