Buttermilk Falls
I got my trunk Thursday night. Peter Ryder an
apprentice od Regan's went down to the dock with
me and it was an awful load for both of us. When
I got over here I saw Richard Ryne and he made me
go [?] to his house and stay all day with him.
Regan's folks is the nicest that I ever lived with.
I am working about 1 mile below the falls now he
has got a house to build down Fort Montgomery and
then I will have enough walking to do. I saw old
Tommy Cocks when he was acomming over here. I am
just agoing to write to Walter ___. Your son,
William H. Emslie PS excuse the bad writing. my
hands are as stiff as a poker.
