Funeral of Col. Murphy.
The funeral of Col. MATHEW MURPHY, of the
Sixty-ninth Regiment New-York State National
Guards, took place from the City Hall, at 2 o'clock
P. M. yesterday---the Sixty-ninth and Seventy-
ninth Regiments acting as escort. Among the pall-
bearers were Col. O' Mahony, Col. Reid, Col. Mur-
phy, Dr. Regan, Capt. McGuire, Capt. Goodwin, J.
B. Kirker, Brig-Gen. Dodge, Col. Lynch, Col. De
Lacy, Col. Downing, Capt. Doran, Capt. Haggerty,
P. O'Rourke. The line of march was up Broadway
to Eighth-street, and thence to the Tenth-street ferry
and Calvary Cemetery, where the body was interred.
The diseased [sic] died of wounds received at the battle
of Hatcher's Run, on the 6th of February last. He
was in the 26th year of hhis age.
